RiTD Season #4 First Match Info and other Match Info
October 11th, 2000 - 6:46 A.M.
|
We will be playing clan [ASNL] on de_nuke for the Domain of Games playoffs this next Sat at 7 pm. I was contacted by their leader/scheduler [ASNL]SkYlInE and he gave me their server info for all of you to check out:
Krypt.com VI
63.241.11.8:27017
I ping around 58 to this server with no one in it at all so thats good. It is also a 12 hop server through GameSpy testing. Without knowing how well the ping will be in game though, I told him we would continue to use the Domain of Games server for (1) of the rounds. No sense giving that up with our great pings IMO. Again, just FYI, we are the underdogs so we will be Terrorists starting out on de_nuke, the map for this match. I will have a few scrims lined up for us leading up to this match just to have us "extra ready".
In OGL Open news, clan [AVL] Avalon decided to accept the match finally so I now have some info on it. We will be playing them on Wednesday October 18, 2000 at 10:30 pm (YOW! Thats late!) on de_dust (yet again...). This gives everyone plenty of warning on the date and time for the match so get with Hardpipe in the forum if you want to play this one guys since this is open to both Team #1 and #2 team members.
I finally got some info on the start of the Rumble in the Desert League. League match start date is Tuesday Oct 24, 2000. Incidentally, all RiTD matches are on Tuesday nights at 8 pm CST (our time for those impaired). This is just an FYI.
Drum roll please........
Our first match on Oct 24, 2000 is against clan [SBS] on our good buddy de_train. We seriously need to practice for this one. I have some new strat ideas that I got from [DoP]Thudean and I will be working hard with some other people like [CK3]Dorn to turn this map into one of our strengths instead of weakness's since it seems this map isn't going away anytime soon in most leagues as far as a chosen map goes. The start date for this league puts me in a serious problem though. That date is my girlfriends birthday. If I miss that, I am blowing off the relationship totally so I will try and get this rescheduled for a later/earlier date instead. More will follow as I find it out.

Domain of Games Playoffs Update
October 9th, 2000 - 7:07 A.M.
|
Well, [=ATF=] played our first (2) rounds of the Domain of Games playoffs this weekend.
The results: [=ATF=] came, they saw, they kicked ass!
Our first Wild Card matchup was on Sat night vs. clan [WHO] on de_dust. First round at terrorists, we won it 24-6. Second round as CTs, we won it 30-3 for an overall win total of 54-8. Clan [WHO] were all great sports. Great job guys! Good game clan [WHO]. Classy even in defeat!
The second round went very similar to the Wild Card round for us in the tournament with a victory. We played clan [RP] on de_prodigy. First round as terrorists, we won the round 21-5. Second round as CT's, we won the round 24-5, for an overall victory total of 45-10.
The schedule is already up for the next playoff game on Domain of Games and the total field is narrowed down to only 4 clans in each conference meaning 8 clans are left total. We will be playing clan [ASNL] on de_nuke this next Sat at 7 pm unless we decide to change the match time. They are a confident clan to say the least. I was reading their webpage and they are already trying to divide up the prices from Sith before they even play the rest of their matches. Just the way I like it personally! Let them come in overconfident and looking past us and give us the chance to blitz them and make it to the next round.
Whoever wins this next round goes to the conference Championship game so this is a big match to say the least. Lets have some good practices this week and a possible scrim. Some of the guys in clan [u238], the Atomic Punks have messaged me on ICQ from our contact with them at the Frag 4 and are eager for some scrims so we may just schedule a scrim during the week against them to "tune us up" for our match vs. [ASNL] on Sat. More will come as I know it on this.
In other news, I went ahead and challenged clan [AVL] on the OGL Open Ladder just to keep us from falling too much from lack of challenging other clans. I think they have a 7-5 record and they recently lost to the Immortal Americans so that should tell you something.....

Match info for Today and this Weekend
October 5th, 2000 - 6:36 A.M.
|
Tonight, we play [EOAK] Equal Opportunity Ass Kickers (lol, what a name!) for OGL Open Ladder at 9 pm on de_dust. We will meet at CCI first. I will ICQ out the password to those that are playing. Here is their server so you can check it out for the round we play on theirs:
4.17.20.120:27016
I can't even access this dang server though so I have no idea how it is. I guess we will find out after we play on ours?
On Sat, we are scheduled for our first playoff game in DoG vs. [WHO]. We are default scheduled for a 7 pm matchtime on de_dust against them. I have been trying to message them to get this rescheduled so we can do both matches on Sunday though. I will let you guys know whats up with that. Now, regardless of when we play this, if we win, we will play again on this Sun at 7 pm as well for the 2nd playoff match on de_prodigy. I will try to get this pushed back til later to help out those that prefer the later matches. I can make no promises yet on this since I have no idea of who we would play yet til all the 1st round matches are done with.
I would also like to say congratulations to [=ATF=]A-Train for his promotion to full member from recruit. I know he is a long time player on CCI and worked really hard to get his chance at being in the clan. He has done awesome and will do great in [=ATF=]. Way to go man!
I wanted to give everyone a taste of the Frag 4 as well. I have a bunch of pics to throw up but here is a taste just to show off for now:
From left to right: Buzzsaw, CrackBoy, Hardpipe, 10-10-220, YAL-1
And a shot of a few of us to show off the back of the shirts.
Just to give you an idea of the size of this thing as well. It goes way over to the right of this pic which we just couldn't capture all in one pic. I think there was like 400 BYOC spots, and then they had prob spots for another 150 people just for matches, etc.

Ton-O-News Updates!
October 2nd, 2000 - 10:05 A.M.
|
Well, we have a whole ton of updates since the last one so this one will be a long one:
First off, on 9/21/2000, we lost our STA league match vs. |GOD| on our damn nemesis map: de_train with a overall final score of 22-13. First round as terrorists, we finished with an 11-11 tie. Second round as CT's, we lost it 11-2. Clan |GOD| was a decent clan and overall good sports. I look forward to a rematch against them in the future. Good game to all that participated!
Secondly, we lost our "rematch" vs. [TRU] on de_aztec. This was another screwed up match from top to bottom. Once again, [TRU] wasn't ready to go for like 45 min after the agreed upon start time so everyone ends up wasting their time. Secondly, convieniently in the middle of the match on their server, someone in [TRU] decided to change the round time through rcon to 15 min when there was only 13 min left effectively ending the round right in the middle of it. Most of us had at least 8k in money at that point so we had to restart the match again with 13 min left and everyone at ground zero as far as cash went. Thirdly, [TRU] flat out refused to send over screenshots to us or do them for that matter anywhere but in their spawn area. Wow, that makes those screenshots damn effective to tell if someone is cheating doesn't it? So basically, they could have used stock skins for their side player models and used whatever they wanted to for the team we were on but we have no way of knowing since they wouldn't allow us any screenshots anyways. Overall, bad sports, bad match, bad outcome. [TRU]'s reputation DID precede them. But it wasn't the good skill, good clan reputation that clans like [rs] and [CK3] have, it was the bitching, disregard for rules, etc that other clans warned me about regarding [TRU] that showed up.
Thirdly, 5 of the local [=ATF=] members that included me, Hardpipe, 10-10-220, Buzzsaw, and YAL-1 attended the Frag 4 here in Dallas, TX at the Hyatt Regency at the Reunion Tower. It was a blast! The hall that the event was held in was huge with probably over 400 system spots setup for the public that was registered and all were filled. We got to actually meet the members of several of the top clans including: [rs], [CK3], [DoP], etc that showed up. The majority of the guys in these clans were all great guys and great sports. [=ATF=] did really respectable at our first REALLY BIG tournement finishing 2-2 overall. Our first match was a no show by clan [Scrubs] so we got that as a win. Our second match was against clan [GZG] on de_prodigy and we won this one handily with a final score of 34-5. Our third matchup was extremelly hard. We ended up playing the eventual winner of the who tournament [rs] on de_aztec and lost this one 24-5. After this loss, we were moved over to the losers bracket (since this was a double elimination tournament, we weren't out yet). In the losers bracket for the next match, we had to face [CK3]. We actually won the first round on de_aztec (yet again?!?!) but we fell apart on round 2 when we were terrorists and ended up losing this one with an overall score of 16-10. I would say this whole tournament was a great learning experience for all of us and we had a great time. The clan as a whole got some of the best press out of all of those that attended as well. We are mentioned on several sites including avault.com and others. I credit a lot of this to [=ATF=]YAL-1 coming through for us with some kickass [=ATF=] T-shirts that we got to get and wear at the tournament. They look totally sweet. On the front, it has a terrorists with his hands raised and a crosshair over him. Underneath that is each persons actual game name so like on mine it has [=ATF=]CrackBoy under it. On the back of the navy blue T-shirt, it has ATF in bold yellow letters as well. Really cool high quality shirts! Thanks YAL for coming through on this one. We got some awesome pics and screenshots of all the matches and I will get all of that up tonight if Buzzsaw will ICQ them over to me (hint, hint, Buzz).
Fourth on the list, everyone pulled through for a nice come from behind victory over [UMI] for us on the OGL Open Ladder bringing us up to 13th out of 607 clans. First round we lost on cs_Italy 2-7 as CT's, and second round as terrorists, we won it 9-2 for an overall win of 11-9. This was a nice win for us. I will get the screenshots up on this one ASAP for you guys as well. From the looks of it, Djinn ruled the roost on this match. Good job [=ATF=]!
Overall, we are all just too damn busy right now. I have recently been promoted at work which cuts down on my [=ATF=] website time, etc and a new GF that has cut down on my playing time. Others in the clan are also having other issues and real life things that have cut down on their active time as well. All this being said, I will be removing [=ATF=] from a few of our leagues so we can get back to having some fun just playing without having 4-5 dang matches everyweek. I think I forgot why I enjoy the game since we have so many matches it seems. I will effective today, be removing [=ATF=] from the Stronger than All League and the OGL West Ladder. This will allow us to concentrate on the DoG playoffs, OGL Open, and the upcoming Rumble in the Desert League that we are in that will be VERY challenging for us. I just think that (3) leagues is enough for us right now (or at least me and Hardpipe). If it gets to a point that we have enough guys that are serious enough to take over on scheduling and want to play in other leagues, I am all for it but I just don't have the time to do it right now.
If anyone has any questions, comments, complaints regarding any of this, feel free to message me or Hardpipe about it!

A Bunch of Match info for the New Few Days....
September 21st, 2000 - 11:17 A.M.
|
A ton of news for you guys:
First and foremost, we play clan |GOD| tonight for the Stronger than All Charlie Division First Place Title Position. This match will be at 9:30 pm and will be a 6 on 6. The 6 will be: me, Hardpipe, 10-10-220, Mr.Lunt, Djinn, and Buzzsaw. Map played will be de_train, oh joy! Here is their server info:
|G0D|-Clanserver
216.116.115.10:27015
Their server gives me a 75 ping but they are 17 hops so I have no idea how bad the packetloss will be or ping fluctuations to their server. Just a heads up to you guys.
First round will be at CCI. I will ICQ out the password to the guys that are playing. I am assuming that clan |GOD| is fairly competent since they are the current title holders in STA Charlie so don't go into the match overconfident and make dumb mistakes guys.
On Friday night, we play clan [CSE], the Counter Strike Elite, at 8 pm. The map played will be de_dust. I am still working with the leader of their clan to get all the particulars for this match together but I do have their server info:
DMM/HomeLAN 119 Match2
209.209.54.18:27015
I ping @ 75 in game to their server and its only 11 hops so we should all ping about that during the match which is just fine with me. I really don't know a whole lot about these guys at all. They aren't really in any of the normal leagues but they do have an 11/5 record in OGL Open. I did talk with their leader today and he seems like a pretty cool guy. (2) of their clan members are OGL Admins, one in the OGL Open, and the other in the 2 vs.2 ladder. I actually pinged much better in game to his own server than he did so we are gonna play the first round at CCI and if they like the ping we will play both rounds there. Since we are playing first round on our home server, we have to be aggressors on the map, thus [=ATF=] will be terrorists first. Expect a fairly decent clan in [CSE] guys.
On Sunday we will be having our "rematch" vs. our good buddy and new best friend [TRU] "I will put your head through a Monitor" Chameleon and the rest of [TRU] at 2 pm. The players for this will be the usual starters: me, Hardpipe, 10-10-220, Djinn, Cire, and Mr.Lunt. We will be playing the first round at CCI just so there is "no confusion" this time.
We were supposed to play clan [uP] on Sunday night for our "normally scheduled" DoG League match. I talked with [uP]PuRpLePeNgUiN from their clan for a good 20 min on ICQ (which worked like a charm, imagine that?). Well, what was said was that basically [uP] has match burnout. He said that [uP] has played a match everynight for the last 2 weeks so they are taking a few weeks off from all league and match play. He said he would report it as a forfeit victory for us so we get an easy victory in DoG. He was high class and I told him we would be happy to play an excellent clan like [uP] anytime in the future in a friendly match when they feel like it. This allows us to pour all of our energy into preparing for [TRU] at 2 pm. as opposed to having to prepare for (2) matches that day.

Match info for Today
September 17th, 2000 - 10:22 A.M.
|
OK, guys, this is just a reminder of what is going on today.
We have our OGL Open Match at 2 pm today. Both rounds will be at CCI. Normal server password for the match. Most likey this is a 5 on 5. Map will be de_aztec. Everyone needs to be on CCI by about 1:55 pm.
We have our DoG League match tonight most likely at 8:30 or 9 pm. We are playing [TRU] on de_aztec as well for this match. This will probably be a 6 on 6 match but could change to a 5 on 5. I don't have their server info confirmed but I think they have a DoG server for their match server so we may just use the DoG servers for both rounds since our pings are so good there anyways. The one that I think is their server is:
DomainofGames.com I [TRU]-DS3 CS 7.1
208.206.231.83:27025
I ping right around 28-30 to this server and its 10 hops for me so ping shouldn't be an issue at all for us tonight. We may just use both rounds on their server just so we don't have to jack with CCI and we can get the match over with faster this way.
In light of the new rules changes in DoG regarding skin usage, all [=ATF=] playing in either of these matches must use CS as it is packaged from Counter-strike.net. You are not allowed to use anything other than the default skins on BOTH player models and guns. We are required to take (3) screenshots in our DoP match: beginning, mid round, and end of match to upload to Sith with DoG right after the match. I will be doing this upload so everyone HAS to do this or we forfeit the match. In order to get ready for this, I ask that we do the same drill for the OGL Open Match just so everyone is prepared and knows what to expect. This means you take all (3) screencaps when I tell you to. After the match, you need to forward these screenshots over to me through ICQ.
Also, in other news, [=ATF=]Djinn created us a new forum at the following address:
New Forum
I would like everyone to sign up for this and check it out since we will be totally fazing out the old one shortly so be ready.

Lots of Stuff Going On
September 14th, 2000 - 4:36 P.M.
|
Where to start? Well, [=ATF=] won our Monday night OGL Open Match vs. clan [D5]. We played them on de_dust (which was our 4th match on dust in as many days). First round as terrorists, we won 23-4. Second round as counter-terrorists, we won it 21-4 for an overall win of 44-7. Nice work from everyone who attended it and keeping us undefeated in OGL Open competition. This bumps us now up to #36 on a ladder of over 730 clans, so not too shabby IMO. Screenies are already up on it as well.
[=ATF=] had our practice on Wed night that went awesome. We had over 16 people show up for practice, which was an all time high for us! It went great and it looks like Team #2 will do just fine in their first match on the OGL West Ladder, in which [=ATF=] is currently ranked #34. They will be playing their match on Friday night at 7 pm vs. clan WC on cs_italy. Look out WC, Team #2 is out for blood and they looked very impressive in practice!
[=ATF=] Team #1 will be playing our STA League Match against clan NSD tonight. The match will be a 6 on 6 and will be played on de_cobble, one of our best maps. I don't know much about NSD but I do know they lost last week so I am sure they will be hungary for a win. Lets make sure that hunger lasts at least 1 more week for them! I believe that NSD uses the following server:
5 Assed Monkey 2 [CS7.1a]
207.55.194.57:27016
This is damn fine with me and all of [=ATF=]. I know I ping right around 25 to that server so we might even play both rounds there if things run smoothly for us during the first round. The players for this match will be: Me, Hardpipe, 10-10-220, Djinn, Cire, and Buzzsaw. Lets shoot for a shutout boys!
We have tougher times ahead in the Domain of Games League. The new schedules were posted the other night and we have drawn perhaps (2) of the better clans in Counter-Strike today: [TRU] and [uP] for our next two weekly DoG Matches. Maps for these matches will be de_aztec for the [TRU] match and de_prodigy for the [uP] match. We really need a win against one of these guys to totally guarentee us a playoff spot in DoG. Both are GREAT clans as far as the level of skilled players goes so we will need to be on top of things and leave nothing to chance to get a win against either of these guys.

[=ATF=] Gets Payback on [$iK] in rematch in DoP League
September 10th, 2000 - 11:55 P.M.
|
Well we were really looking forward to this rematch. Cire and Djinn really came through and were solid contributors in the match. First round as CT's we won 16-7. The second round as terrorists, we had the luxury of running the clock down so we camped it out and were up 14-1 when [$iK] conceded the loss to us. This gave us a total margin of victory of 30-8 in the final at time of them conceding the loss to us. Screencaps are up for your enjoyment already.
[$iK] were fairly good sports but after the match were demanding screencaps from all of us. I sent them a few for the hell of it. I know none of us were cheating so screw it IMO. There is no DoP league rule against using colored skins so I'm not sweating it at all.
We do have an OGL Open League Match on Monday though at 8 pm. This match will be a 6-6. Clan [D5] is currently ranked #32 so this would be a BIG win for us on this ladder. We will be playing on de_dust for the map just FYI (*sigh again, I know*). Their listed server on OGL is the following:
146.151.130.32:27015 in case you want to ping it. We will be having a practice at 7 pm before the match to get things down again.
-[ATF]CrackBoy |
[=ATF=] wins OGL West Match and Info on our DoP League Match Sunday
September 9th, 2000 - 11:36 P.M.
|
[=ATF=] wins again in the OGL West Match against [MyM]. First round as T, we won it 16-10. Second round as CT, we lost 11-14. This gave us the overall victory of 27-24. Screen caps are already up on it. This was another match we won, but I think it was more of an example of what we don't want to do. Too many break downs in communication, the strat, etc.
We will be having a scrim against -sP- on Sunday at 4 pm. for those that will be playing in it. LMK.
I already talked with the guys in clan[$iK]. We will be playing our DoP League Match at 9 pm. First round will be at their server and we will be CT's. Second round will be at CCI and we will be terrorists. Their server info is as follows:
207.104178.207:27015
I will send out the password when I get it from them about an hour before the match.
Everyone welcome on board [=ATFr=]A-Train. I am sure most of you know him. I am also throwing around bringing on board Free_Kill as a recruit as well. More info will follow.
-[ATF]CrackBoy |
[=ATF=] wins STA League Match Again
September 8th, 2000 - 11:36 P.M.
|
Well, we played clan DOS last night and won. It was far from our best effort though. First round as terrorists on de_nuke, we won the side 30-6. Second round as CT's we lost 25-8, giving us a total victory of 38-31.
We definitely need to tweak our nuke strat or we will lose against the better clans on this map. As terrorists, we owned but we gave up too many rounds IMO as CT's. People need to be a little more aware of the clock in matches as well. Lets use that to our advantage next time we run up a big lead like this. The match final was a lot closer than it should have been. I know their server sucked for us but we have to ready for those little setbacks and be more prepared to roll with the punches next time better than we did this time around. Screencaps are already posted in the "Match History" section for your amusement.
We are playing clan MyM tonight for our OGL West CS Ladder Match. I really don't know a lot about these guys at all. I do know that they have a 4-2 record against a bunch of no-name clans and are currently ranked #33 on the ladder. Here is their server IP for those that might want to test them out in advance: 206.18.46.109:27015
We normally have our new mandatory practice from 8-9 pm but in light of our late match at 10 pm tonight, we will move the practice to 9-10 pm instead. This should give you parents time to get the kiddo's to bed, spend time with the wife, etc. At 9 pm though, be ready for some intense de_dust only practicing. We might take some of the normal regulars into the practice as well so we can tweak our strat for the match. This match at 10 pm is the first of (3) matches we have in a row on de_dust. By the time we have our rematch with [$iK] on Sunday night, we need this strat to be rock solid for the rematch.
BoSs with -sP- has requested a scrim with us on de_dust on this Sat at 4 pm as well. Everyone that can attend or wants to attend, please ICQ me or post in the forum a yes you can or no you can't on this. I would appreciate it!
-[ATF]CrackBoy |
Schedule is VERY busy and warning to all [=ATF=] members
September 3rd, 2000 - 11:01 P.M.
|
We are gonna be super busy with all the matches coming up. We have a STA League match vs. clan DOS on Thursday at 9:30 pm, an OGL West Coast match vs. [MyM] on Friday night at 10 pm, and our normal DoP league match on Sunday night at 8 pm. Keep checking the calendar on the webpage FREQUENTLY for changes and updates regarding these matches. I am getting way too many ICQ's and emails from people asking when these matches are taking place, etc. READ the calendar first, then message with any questions you have that aren't listed. More than likely, if its not on the calendar, I don't know the answer anyways.
I also wanted to be VERY clear with everyone regarding the new MANDATORY practices we will be having on every Monday, Wed, and Friday nights from 8-9 pm (revised). These are MANDATORY if you want to remain active in the clan. We, (me and Hardpipe), want to take this clan to the next level. We can't do this if we don't practice regularly. This is the reason for the new MANDATORY practices. If you can't be at the practices for whatever reason, you HAVE to ICQ me or HP and let us know why. Valid excuses like YAL working from 3-11 pm. on those nights are fine but for those of you that have normal work schedules, we HAVE to have the reasons why you aren't there for the practices if you want to stay active in the clan. I am getting plenty of emails from people that want in [=ATF=] right now so its time for everyone to prioritize how important this clan is to them. Even if you can't attend the upcoming match we are practicing for during that week, you need to attend. We will be basically scrim'ing against other [=ATF=] members this way so we need as many of you as possible to show up for these things.

[=ATF=] loses DoP league Match
September 3rd, 2000 - 11:01 P.M.
|
Well, I have to tip my hat to [TAH]. I heard they were good and they didn't disappoint. We put up a good fight the first round as terrorists and lost it 22-14. Second round as CT's, we got stomped though 14-3 and then we just conceded the loss. I saw no sense adding to the margin of the loss at that point. Final score at that point is 36-17. De_train just isn't a good map for us it seems. Oh well, we learn from our mistakes and move on. I did leave this loss with one thing I did for sure pickup: [=ATF=] needs to work on our grenade usage.
[TAH] isn't a pushover clan though. They are currently ranked #3 in RiTD. This division includes the likes of [NHG], [GB], [NATO], [uP], [KorT], etc. who are all awesome clans so that should let you guys know just how good they are. Both of our loss's have been against top tier clans so I don't feel especially bad about either of them. We just have to regroup, learn from our mistakes, and get it together for our next match! We will be looking for revenge in our next match, whoever we face!

[=ATF=] Promotes Fuggin
August 29th, 2000 - 1:16 P.M.
|
Due to his steller play the last few weeks as a recruit with [=ATF=] and solid teamplay during our last (2) matches, [=ATF=] is proud to promote Fuggin to a full active member as of this writing.
Everyone be sure to congratulate Fuggin when you see him next time playing. [=ATF=]Fuggin, be sure to change your tag to the [=ATF=] tag now when you play as well.

[=ATF=] Wins Both OGL League Debuts!
August 27th, 2000 - 11:45 P.M.
|
[=ATF=] came away with (2) easy victory's in both our OGL Counterstike Open and West Match debut's tonight. One match was a pleasure, the other a pain in the ass. In our first match at 5 pm, we played clan [Jett] on de_cobble, who is also a local Dallas, TX clan. They played with both class and dignity. We won the first round as terrorists with our blitz attack 21-1 and then we won the second round as CT's 9-0 with our steller defense.
This gave [=ATF=] a total margin of victory of 30-1. Thx clan [Jett], you were professional and handled yourselves with class even in defeat.
The second match was a total cluster f*ck from start to stop. Whomever clan eC-'s leader/representative is ought to resign from his position. None of their members even knew the OGL rules at all. They constantly bitched about everything under the sun as well. We were supposed to play the first round on their server and only 1 of their guys even showed up. Basically we ran around for 30 min screwing around until I get an ICQ from their leader saying their server was unusable for both clans since both clans were pinging over 200+ and that we would play both rounds on our server. So we go to CCI and set our fakelag up to 125 like we needed to giving us almost equal pings to them and we start playing. After about 5 rounds, their leader drops out due to a timeout. He comes back in later and demands "we restart the match due to him timing out". I told him that was his problem, not ours, and that according to OGL rules we keep playing unless the server crashes, which it didn't. After that, it was non-stop bitching, cussing us out, complaining, etc. for the whole first round, which we won BTW 12-1. The second round we were up 4-0 and then they all just dropped out 1 by 1 until only 1 guy was left on their team. He was cool about it all and apologized for his leader making an ass out of himself. This was by far our lamest match we have played. The funny thing is these idiots are in STA Alpha division as well! I feel sorry for whomever has to deal with their BS in their next match.
In the end it makes me wonder if these OGL matches are even worth [=ATF=] wasting our time with. I know these lamers we had in our second match won't be the last we will encounter with this type of attitude and professionalism. Oh well, I guess I just need some time to think over this whole OGL thing. Screen caps of both matches are already up for your enjoyment.

[=ATF=] shows our "Elders" a thing or two in big Week 2 Stronger Than All (STA) League Win
August 24th, 2000 - 11:45 P.M.
|
Well done guys! [=ATF=] wins again bigtime today. We won our week 2 match against clan [Elders] impressively with a 45-3 overall victory. First round as terrorists on prodigy, we went 26-2. The second round as counter-terrorists we shut down both bombsites for a 19-1 victory. Screencaps are already up in the "Match History" section of the site for your enjoyment. This victory puts [=ATF=] 2-0 in the Stronger than All league play and should have us ranked about 5th or so in our division after all of this weeks matches are played out. I'm sure we would be in 1st place right now had we started in the league when it actually kicked off but we can keep bumping off these clans and work our way up the ladder fairly quickly. The way this league works is the better you play, the better the opponent they schedule for you. I would think we can be in the #1 spot within 2 weeks if we win our next 2 here. Good work guys! You all followed the strategy to the T!

[=ATF=] Rebounds this week in DoP with HUGE Win!
August 21st, 2000 - 9:28 A.M.
|
What can I say? [=ATF=] came, saw, and conquered. WOW! What an impressive victory for us over a very good clan in [TPG]. [TPG] was a ranked clan in both the ogl.org East and Open divisions so this was a very nice victory for us. First round as terrorists, [=ATF=] stormed out to an early 27-3 lead. Second round as CT's, we locked down both bombsites for a 28-1 win on this side. In the end, [=ATF=] won by a landslide for a 54-4 final score. I have to give cudos to [=ATF=]Hardpipe for the excellent strategy and planning he did. We couldn't have won this without it! The plan worked to perfection and we got a nice win. The game ball goes to [=ATF=]Mr.Lunt for a devestating 2nd round showing from him. Way to go dude! Screenshots are already in the "Match History" page for your enjoyment.

[=ATF=] Victorious in first STA League Match
August 18th, 2000 - 12:19 A.M.
|
It was unfortunete for [NoClan] that they had to face us after losing to [$iK] the other night for our first Stronger than All League match. We all had egg on our face after that match so I cooked up a bullet proof strategy for the match and we rolled right over [NoClan]. First round as CT's we won 9-1. Second round as Terrorists, we won 12-1 for an overall final victory score of 21-2. They had a few guys that were talking a little too much smack but overall it didn't faze us any. We stuck to the gameplan and won the match for a nice rebound victory after that last loss and kept a professional attitude the whole time. I wanted to start off things in the new league with a Win and we did so thats whats important. Good job [=ATF=]! Screenshots of the scores are in the "Match History" section for you to peruse at your leisure.
Tomorrow, on Friday (or is that today, DOH its after midnight already), we have (2) things going on. First off, we have the first of a weekly scrim against clan -sP- that we set up to help us both out for planning strategies for the DoP league. This scrim is at 7 pm CST and all those playing in the match are expected to be there. Then we follow the scrim with the real deal vs. [TPG] at 9 pm CST. [TPG] lost their last DoP League match as well so I am sure they will be gunning for us. I feel pretty confident that our strategy is solid though so I look forward to a good match.

[=ATF=] Promotes Aeneid from Recruit to Active Status
August 14th, 2000 - 4:52 P.M.
|
All of [=ATF=] give Aeneid a nice greeting when you see him next on CCI. He has now been promoted up from Recruit status to Active status thereby making him a full member of [=ATF=]. He has done an outstanding job playinng as evidenced by his excellent stats having a .86 this week and a .71 last week during his first (2) weeks of being a recruit. Personally, his hard work towards being a better team player helped push him over the edge for me. We all voted this weekend on his promotion and it was a unanimous decision with a 10-0 vote in favor of this promotion.
Aeneid, be sure to change your tag to [=ATF=] now as well to reflect full status. Also, you now have access to the "Members Only" section of the forum. Please read the strategy for tonights match there when you can so you know what to do.

Nice Work [=ATF=]
August 12th, 2000 - 12:48 A.M.
|
Well we did kick ass for the period from July 30th to August 5, 2000. [=ATF=] finished ranked #32 in the world. Pretty damn good I think. We had (4) of the clan members with .85 or higher on clq. Outstanding job guys!
-[ATF]CrackBoy |
[=ATF=] is now signed up for the CPL Frag4 and OGL.ORG Ladder Competition
August 8th, 2000 - 4:24 P.M.
|
First off, [=ATF=] is now enrolled in the CPL Frag4 Tournament that will take place in Dallas, TX at the Hyatt Regency Hotel from Sept 28, 2000 until Oct 1, 2000. This tournament is primarilly for Q3A but Domain of Pain is putting on a Counterstrike Tournement there that we are signed up for so it should be some real fun. I know there will be cash as well as computer equipment and game prizes for the clans that do well so we are gunning for some high profile recognition if we do well in this. [=ATF=] will be represented by me, Hardpipe, 10-10-220, Buzzsaw, and Mr.Lunt in this tournament for our 5 man team (5 was the minimum and maximum of players you could have on your team).
Secondly, we are now signed up for the OGL.ORG Open Counter-Strike Ladder Competition. This is one of the top recognized and organized ladder/leagues for Counter-Strike Clans. I am leaning towards dropping us from the Hostile Arena League at this point. It is just too much of a cluster fuck IMO. I can't even access their webpage for the league anymore and it seems like 90% of the matches just end in forfeits by one side or another anyways. I am going to try to stick with the known leagues for our next signups only such as RiTD (Rumble in the Desert), and IGL (Iron Glove League) in the future. At the time, I thought we needed to get a little more seasoning with some of these smaller scale leagues but it seems we are pretty much crushing everyone we have played so far so maybe this OGL thing will be better for us. We start out low (currently ranked at 591) at the bottom end of the ladder but you can move up quickly through wins since you can challenge clans up to a max of 10% higher than you are currently ranked. I anticipate us being close to a 200 rank in only a few weeks of matches there. If the challenged clan is a no show or loses, we get their ladder position so you can see you can move up rather quickly in this ladder league. EVERYONE needs to log into their site and read the rules so you know how things work. This means EVERYONE!

[=ATF=] Welcomes our newest Recruits
August 4th, 2000 - 2:05 P.M.
|
[=ATF=] would like to welcome our newest recruits, [=ATFr=]Aeneid, [=ATFr=]Paladin, and [=ATFr=]Fuggin to the clan. All of you are exeptional players and I am sure you will be a nice fit for the clan. Those of you that see these (3) playing, make them feel like part of the team. We will evaluate these (3) for the next few weeks and then have a formal vote in the forum. Keep in mind we are evaluating teamwork, attitude, and of course skills for these recruits so welcome aboard guys!
BTW, for those that haven't noticed, we have a new Recruits page up under the "Member Info" page to go along with the active and inactive members so you guys can get an idea who you are playing with. I still need to get info from Aeneid so I can fill in his description though. ICQ me with it Aenied!

Update on the upcoming matches that should have been....
August 3rd, 2000 - 1:29 P.M.
|
[=ATF=]was supposed to be playing our first Hostile Arena League Match against clan [KK] on Friday. I just check the Hostile
Arena Counter-Strike League though and it already lists us as having won the match by forfeit. It looks like clan [KK] dropped out of that league so we are officially 1-0 in that league even though our first victory comes via a forfeit, we will take it. For some reason, there is no week 2 schedule up for our division at all yet either so I am going to keep a close eye on this league. It may go under before it really gets going. If it looks like it is going to hell in a hand basket, I will just pull us from the ship before it sinks.
Our DoP league match is scheduled to be against clan [IA] this Sunday. I haven't heard a thing from these guys either and their last match they forfeited as well. To top that off, their webpage is no longer up either so I am assuming that this one will be a forfeit as well.
I know these are lame ways to win but if we are ready to play and they just no show, what can you do? I want to play other clans as much as you guys but a "W" is a "W" so I will take it. We have at least won all of our other matches in true [=ATF=] style by just overwhelming our opponents league play so far so think of this week as just a lay off of sorts for us. If for some strange reason clan [IA] gets in touch with me and we can get the match sceduled, I will update the calendar to reflect that.
Clan [=ATF=] did get a challenge last night from another clan called [OSM] (i think that is what they were called?). We originally scheduled for Sat night but I will try to move it up to Friday night instead in light of the [KK] forfeit. Just keep checking the calendar so you will be current with what is going on in the match scene. As soon as I know something firm, I will update the calendar to reflect it as such. I don't want to keep seeing posts in the damn forum though from people asking when this or that is going to happen. Look at the damn calendar first and you will know as much as I do!

DoP League Results and [=ATF=] LAN Party was Great Success!
July 30th, 2000 - 9:20 P.M.
|
[=ATF=] played our week 3 match in the Domain of Pain league against Ownage tonight. Before I give the results, I will paste the predictions before the match for you to peruse that were posted at the Domain of Pain League Site. Here is what the "experts" had to say:
"[TRU]Chameleon: [=ATF=](2-0) vs [()WN](1-1): [=ATF=] beat the same |CN| that "owned" [()WN] by a medium margin. [=ATF=] also has a cooler looking tag. [=ATF=] is going to school [()WN] on the definition of "owned"."
"[rs]-warsaw: ()WN will prevail, because if their clan name is ()wn, surely they own?"
After I read all of this, I decided we would show Ownage who can own and who couldn't.
[=ATF=] steamrolled over Ownage. First round as terrorists on de_aztec, we won 23-3. Second round as counter-terrorists, we won 27-2 for an overall victory of 50-5. Everyone played well and worked together like a well oiled machine. I love these predictions that these different leagues do though. It seems that [=ATF=] is continually underestimated. I kind of like it like that though because we keep hitting them hard and fast. Everything worked great except in round 2 we had a hickup and [=ATF=]Boom-Boom and [=ATF=]YAL-1 got dropped for some wierd reason and they had to log back in. At the time of the drop, [=ATF=]Boom-Boom was 35-4 and [=ATF=]YAL-1 was 28-6 so that isn't reflected in the scores. Screen caps, etc are now available under the "Match History" part of the site for your enjoyment.
Next weeks DoP match is already on the schedule. We will be playing clan [IA], the Immortal Americans on cs_docks so be ready! Just to put things in perspective, clan [IA] is 0-2 in DoP League play. They lost to the clan we beat tonight by a score of 32-12 so this should be a cake walk for us I would think. I will let everyone know once I get contact with these guys and get everything setup!
Secondly, the LAN party on Sat was a HUGE success. Huge is almost an understatement though. We had like 25 people show up for the Counter-Strike LAN fun. I would like to say for everyone that attended, thank's FURY161 for hosting. If you get a chance, drop him an ICQ telling him so if you attended! I will have pictures up shorting showing the event.

Match Results vs. [U.F.S.]
July 27th, 2000 - 10:31 P.M.
|
[=ATF=] won a VERY closely fought match against a good clan, Unfit for Society [U.F.S.] with the final score being 25-24. [=ATF=] lost the first round of this match 15-10 and we won the second round 15-9 allowing us to edge out a narrow victory. We played de_prodigy for both rounds with the first team to 15 wins winning the round. Our hats are off to a great clan and we look forward to a possible rematch in the future! Clan [U.F.S.] was previously undefeated with a record of 9-0 before this match so this was a nice victory for us. This win keeps clan [=ATF=] undefeated with a 4-0 overall record so far. Good work everyone that played in the match! Screencaps are available under the "Match History" page of the site.

Week
2 results in the Domain of Pain Counter-Strike League
July 21st, 2000 - 2:21 P.M.
|
We wrapped
up week 2 in the Domain of Pain league last night. I will start it all
off by stating that [=ATF=] is 2-0 now in the DoP league and in solid first
place by ourselves right now! OW OW!
What a damn
whip it was though. We were scheduled to start the match at 8 pm. We had
all of our guys ready to go and their guys were joining and dropping out
and joining and dropping out. Finally at about 8:30 pm (we were scheduled
to start at 8 pm), we started the match. Their pings were horrible though,
around 200 average since they are in Canada and we are local in Dallas
and had around 55 average for the match. Hell, I had a ping between 15
and 30 most of the match. Anyways, we pretty much took it to them and owned
as the score reflects. We didn't lose a single round. They were good sports
about the whole thing but it was a pain to get the thing going. Hopefully
the next clan will be better organized and prepared for the match. One
cool thing we all found out was that we ALL have awesome pings to these
DoP clan match servers. We can use these anytime for matches or practices
as well as long as we schedule it in advance with Sith at DoP.
As Terrorists
the first round we went: 32-0
As Counter-Terrorists
the second round, they forfeited basically because everyone of their clan
members dropped out but 1, which is why in the pic of the final of round
1 there is only me, 10-10-220, and one of their guys.
Below is screencaps
of the final score:
On a side note,
I am a regular at Toms Hardware Forum and met a guy that is in clan [DES]
names Kogo. He is eager to schedule a scrimage match against our clan sometime
in the near future (read maybe this Sunday sometime). [DES] is an experienced
clan and it should be a good matchup for us. I will let you know more as
I find out more.

[=ATF=]
Now signed up for new CS Clan League
June 19th, 2000 - 11:39
P.M.
|
[=ATF=] is
now signed up for the Hostile
Arena Counter-Strike League. It looks to have some VERY good clans
in it as well. We are already listed on the breakdown in the West division.
There are already about 20 clans signed up and some good ones in there
in our own division. I know for a fact that clan [rs], who is in our division
is like 35-1 in matchplay so we will need to be on our toes. Default night
for matches is on a Monday evening but we can play on Sat or Sun if the
other clan agrees to this. Read up on their webpage for more info.
This new league
will allow us to play more of you in matches and get the word out more
about [=ATF=]. I think (2) leagues will be enough for right now and I might
sign us up for the ladder matches that [=ATF=]Promo was talking about as
well. With this league, that will give us about (2) matches per week while
both seasons are going on. This should pit us against some of the best
clans that are active and let us know real quick how we stack up. I feel
our organization and team play will help us prevail though in matches.
More to come on this.

First
week results in the new Domain of Pain Counter-Strike League
July 17th, 2000 - 9:45 A.M.
|
We played
our first week 1 match in the Domain of Pain league against a good clan
in Clandistine Nemesis. It was an interesting match because we had never
played anyone from this clan before and didn't know what to expect. Plus
this was actually league play and was new for us as well. We totally dominated
the first round as terrorists and then we actually lost the second round.
Since we owned so much in the first round though, we could pretty much
cruise on the second without too much of a worry on our part. Clan [CN]
proved to be a worthy advisary though so our hat is off to them for a good
match. We both kind of messed up on the FF issues and lucky for us, they
were cool about it. I didn't know til after the match was over that we
were supposed to have had FF on to begin with. I actually like FF better
anyways and that is what we normally use so we will be ready for week 2's
matchup against RAF:
As Terrorists
the first round we went: 20-3
As Counter-Terrorists
the second round we went: 10-16
Turnout was
so good on our clans part, I had the difficult job of selecting only 5
players out the 9 whom we had show up. We will get some of the other players
in for the next matchup though.
Below is screencaps
of the final scores:
I have already
contacted and talked with clan Red Army Faction via ICQ. Tentatively, they
want to play on Wed of this week. Half of them are HPB and half are LPB.
It is shaping up like we will play round one of this clan match on the
DoP servers as terrorists and round 2 at CCI (if its up) as CT's. The map
for this match is Militia so we should do well. Clan [RAF] won their first
week bigtime so we need to be on our toes. I will try to get some of the
other people in on this match that didn't make the first one also. We are
looking at probably a 6 on 6 matchup but it may slip to 5 on 5 like it
was this last week. I need to know who can be available for this matchup
ASAP. We are tentatively looking at 8 pm timeslot for the matchup. They
are based out of Ontario, in Canada. I suggest you look at their webpage
webpage so you know what to expect when the match comes. Also, EVERYONE
READ THE DAMN RULES FOR DOP LEAGUE. It is at the DoP
website.

June 22nd, 2000 - 8:44 A.M.

[=ATF=] would
like to welcome its newest member, [=ATF=]Promo. I have personally played
with Promo for quite some time and he is a good addition to the group.
He is a good team player and will be a nice addition to the clan. Everyone
send Promo a welcome ICQ message when you get a chance. Promo, if you can
ICQ me all the relevant info for the webpage, it would be appreciated.

Welcomes its newest member and more
June 20th, 2000 - 3:08 P.M.
|
I would like
to formally welcome [=ATF=]MrLunt as the newest member of [=ATF=]. It was
a unanimous decision with 7 yes votes for him to join the clan. He will
be a welcome addition and seems to be a good team player (from what I saw
in the clan match). Please send him a welcome ICQ message when you get
a chance and Mr.Lunt, plese post a hello post to everyone in the clan in
the forum! Buzzsaw, make sure Mr.Lunt is now using the new clan tag as
well when playing and send me his login name for the forum so I can set
him up with access to the "MEMBERS ONLY" section. I also need all his info
for the members section. If you can get a pic of him to me as well so we
have a face to go with the name for those that haven't met him personally.
I would hate to have to find another pic like the one I used on [=ATF=].profile
for him! LOL.
I would like
to also remind everyone that the LAN party is this Sat starting at noon
at [=ATF=]Hardpipes parents house. If you need directions, ICQ him. His
ICQ number is listed in the Active Members section for those that need
it.

Clan
Match Results Against clan [MS]
June 17th, 2000 - 11:39
P.M.
|
We played
a class bunch of guys in clan [MS]. We were a little worried that they
were going to have to forfeit but they finally got it all together. [=ATF=]'s
teamwork was just too much for them though and we scored in the following
way:
As Counter-Terrorists
the first round we went: 15-2
As Terrorists
the second round we went: 22-0
Very nice if
I do say so myself. I couldn't have asked for a better showing from those
that participated on our side. Promo filled in for us as HerbalKiller since
we were going to be short and also a potential member Mr.Lunt who also
played very well.

of the final scores:

Info
on the next LAN party on the 24th and more
June 16th, 2000 - 2:51 P.M.
|
[=ATF=]Hardpipe
wanted me to give you guys a shout out about the next LAN party. It will
be at his house next Sat, the 24th of June! Time is 12 noon til whenever,
unless HP tells me otherwise on the time. As per the usual, BYOC (Bring
your own computer). This goes for the Agent boys as well. Bring one for
each of you this time, not (1) to share between (3) of you! Then you can
all play at once instead of sharing.
ICQ HP for
directions. His ICQ number is listed on the active members page. Also,
make sure you both ICQ him and leave a message on the forum letting him
know who is planning on coming. He may be moving it out to his parents
house like that one before mine was so we have more room if there will
be a lot coming. This is why it is important for us to know if you are
coming. If you don't alert us as to who is coming and we run out of tables
and chairs, the ones that told us they were coming get priority for seating
so don't screw around!
On other news,
I got the first Hall of Fame submission for beta 6.5. This one comes from
[=ATF=]FURY161. He got 76 kills! WOW! This just goes to show you that you
can rack up plenty of kills in 6.5. Go check it out in the Hall of Fame
section.

LAN
Party was a success and new Pics posted.
June 12th, 2000 - 11:15
A.M.
|
Well, the
LAN party was quite a success considering the drive we had. We had about
12 people show up so we had normally either 5 on 5 or 6 on 6 teams. It
was a whole new learning experience with the new beta 6.5 as well but we
all had a fun time and got our fill of liquid crack, Pizza Hut, and some
Arby's for dinner.
I got new pics
posted from the LAN party so those of you who missed out can see what you
missed! I also finally found my disk with the image templetes so I did
a lot of much needed updates on the pics as well. We now have updated pics
of El Guapo ( you little glamor shot boy you!), El Boomer, Dawg, and Waco
as well. Damn it! I was already to break out more pics like the one Nynja
has on his description as well! Oh well, those of you that I don't have
pics for soon are in for a surprise!
I also finally
got up some of the Hall of Fame submissions that I have gotten. I just
want to let the others know that all submissions so far have been for over
50 frags! I wouldn't want to be the first under that total, thats for sure!
Oh, the ridicule! I can say though that with beta 6.5, good fucking luck
getting over 50 frags though. Those frags are MUCH tougher to come by with
the new beta. Anyone that says otherwise is just full of it. I would venture
to say that over 35 frags might be Hall of Fame material on the new beta
6.5. Maybe I need to revise the criteria? LMK.

that to just input your address and get directions as well. We need folding
tables and chairs so bring them if you have them. I would like to avoid
having to purchase these items if some of you can help out. I don't have
a truck either so its difficult for me to get them even if I wanted to.
Time is from
12 noon (or earlier if you want to come) til whenever. We should be playing
beta 6.5 (assuming it gets released this week) as well so be ready for
some fun. There are 5 totally new maps and 747 and Railroad have been totally
redone as well. Should be some real fun. Also, if you have switches or
hubs, bring them. I am expecting a bigger than normal turnout so I want
to make sure we don't run short on ports for players. Also, as always,
bring your own computer. There is PLENTY of room so space isn't a problem.
ICQ me with
questions. If you have any friends that want to come, feel free to invite
them over.
